Mounds View Basketball

2010 kicks off with a 2-1 start.  The Mustangs played some good basketball this weekend and are showing improvements as they enter the heart of the season.  On Saturday, the boys ran into the hottest shooting team they have seen all season.  St. Francis scored over half of their points from behind the arc in a 40-38 victory over Mounds View.  Sunday was a different day, and boys played some of the most consistent basketball they played all season.  The Mustangs defeated Eden Prairie 36-23 to reach the Consolation Championship game.  In that game, the Mustangs defeated a quick Tartan team 58-48.  At this point in the season, the boys know what it takes for us to be successful.  We played that way this weekend.  The goal is continue that play this coming weekend at Hopkins.
