Game 3 vs. Spring Lake Park - Team hustle!  Too tough to call because everyone gave 100% effort and played hard.  Will doing something for team on Monday's practice.

Game 3 vs. Thomas Sletten - with an honorable mention to Austin Braden.  Both played well.  Rebounds, loose balls, defensive intensity.

Each game the coaches will be choosing a Mr. Hustle player.  The player we feel came through the most hustle points.  Defense, rebounds, loose balls and relentless energy.  They receive a gatorade, recognition on the website and the accolades from their teammates.  This was especially great to see this weekend even after the disappointing loss Sunday morning.  They still were happy for Nick and congratulated him.

Congratulations to the boys for placing 2nd in the Concordia tournament.  Finishing with a 2-1 record they rebounded from the Tartan tournament  with a very good performance.  Good defense, aggressive play and team basketball were the keys.  Nice job Mustangs

A 3-1 tournament record earned our Mounds View 7C Mustangs a well-deserved 1st place finish!  Holding on for a 36-32 win over Holy Family in the final game.  After losing the opening game to North St. Paul they won three in a row beating Spring Lake Park, Minnetonka and finally Holy Family.  Tournament highlights included 51 points vs. Spring Lake Park and stellar defense against Minnetonka and Holy Family. 

Congratulations 7C Boys who rebounded after 2 tough early season tournaments to place 2nd at in the East Ridge 7C Gold Bracket.  They showed great team play, improved defense and good overall intensity. 

A big thank you to the parents for being so supportive to the boys.  I really appreciate you all being there at the games.
